Classroom Assistant

A fantastic Primary School located in Wakefield are looking for a Classroom Assistant to work with children to support their needs and other general classroom support under the guidance of the class teacher. The role will be fulltime, from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

Previous experience as a Classroom Assistant would be ideal but experience working with children in some form of capacity is essential.

The Role:

• Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals

• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs as a Classroom Assistant

• As a Classroom Assistant you will often support children 1:1

• Care about children's learning, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and development as a Classroom Assistant

• Be proactive in helping students that need support during lessons

Requirements:

• Available to work 08:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday

• Ideally have prior experience working as a Classroom Assistant

• Previous experience working with children in a school or alternate setting

• Available full time for ideally long term contracts.

• Able to commute to Forest Hall
