Classroom Teacher
  • Salary: Paid to scale
  • Location: Heysham
  • Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
  • Contract Term: 7th May 2024 until July 2024

We are seeking a highly motivated Classroom Teacher to join a fantastic primary school in Heysham. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who possesses strong behaviour management skills and is experienced with the KS1 curriculum. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Delivering engaging lessons to Year 1 students, ensuring a high level of learning and enjoyment.
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school community.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of students.
  • Engaging with parents and guardians to support the development of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in primary education, particularly with Year 1.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
