A TLR may be available for an experienced teacher willing to take on subject leadership and additional teacher and leadership responsibility

This is a full-time permanent class teacher contract. (ECTs subject to successful completion of ECF). Class teacher required to start from September 2024.

A thriving one form entry primary school tucked away in a peaceful, residential square based in Balham are looking to hire a class teacher for the beginning of the 24/25 academic year. The school is a 5 minute walk from Wandsworth Common train station and Balham train/tube station, a small primary school, that has a strong school community. We are looking for talented and enthusiastic class teacher to join and work as part of a hardworking team. The school are a forward-thinking aspirational hub for education and we are proud of the curriculum and care that is provided for all children. As the class teacher, you will be joining an incredibly hardworking pupil body and staff who achieve high standards of results with our latest results in the top 10% of the country.

Class Teacher will need to be:

As a class teacher , you will be in line with the School Mission Statement, to be responsible for the welfare and education of a designated group of pupils in accordance with the requirements of the National curriculum, the school's aims, objectives and schemes of work and any policies of the Governing Body.

Class Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school's schemes of work, National Curriculum and designated subject areas
  • Liaise with colleagues to deliver units of work in a collaborative way in accordance with the School Development Plan
  • Work with teaching assistants, the SENCO and the inclusion team
  • Set challenging targets for pupil attainment levels
  • Be an exemplar teacher
  • Share in the responsibility for the well-being and discipline of all pupils
  • To support the Catholic ethos of the school and teach RE according to the RE scheme of work
