Office Angels are currently recruiting for a Claims Contact Centre Agent for our client based in Reading.

Role: Claims Contact Centre Agent

Location: Reading

Salary: £22,000 to £23,500 per annum depending on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week, shifts

(Early Shift - 8am until 4pm/Mid Shift - 10am until 6pm/Late Shift - 12pm until 8pm)

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading insurance company in the transportation industry. They are committed to delivering excellent customer service and are on the lookout for a confident communicator with exceptional customer service skills to join their team.

About the Job:

As a Claims Contact Centre Agent, your main responsibility will be managing new event notifications or insurance claims reported to the transportation claims call centre. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, ensuring efficient and effective communication with customers while providing excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing administrative tasks to assist in the investigation and payment of successful claims.

This is a full-time role based in Reading, working 35 hours per week on a shift basis (early, mid, and late shifts). The organisation prioritises the flexibility of working from home, so hybrid working arrangements will be introduced once you are fully trained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle new telephone notifications in accordance with standard operating procedures and key performance indicators.
  • Provide world-class customer service while consistently handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Assess liability and handle calls within your authority levels.
  • Plan and manage your workload to ensure maximum quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure operational excellence by adhering to best practises in claims and administrative processes.
  • Be vigilant in detecting potentially fraudulent claims.
  • Escalate queries beyond your authority levels to your Team Manager.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as requested.

  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to listen, empathise, and engage with staff and customers.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills and quick assimilation of information.
  • Computer literacy.
