Here at Havebury Housing, we are looking for an Part-time Claims Administrator (12 month FTC) to join our incredible Procurement Team! The purpose of the role is to administer tasks associated with the end-to-end insurance process and claims. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external enquires. You will also provide front line support to the business on insurance related queries. We are a Housing Association (Policyholder) submitting various types of claims to our insurers, rather than the more commonly understood way a claims handler at an insurer would handle claims received from a policyholder.

Please note this a part time role based on 22.5 hours per week. The role is also on a 12 month FTC.

Requirements

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • Administer, monitor, and manage insurance related tasks including:
    • Insurance Shared mailboxes
    • Workflow documents
    • Unoccupied properties list
    • Claims records, including associated cost records.
    • Updating internal and external parties
  • Administer and complete finance processes and tasks in relation to insurance, including:
    • Processing, and journaling of monthly insurance costs.
    • Insurance reconciliations, accruals, and allocations
    • Set up LA6 codes in SUN.
  • Support the Insurance Coordinator with managing the insurance portfolio, including:
    • Investigating the legitimacy of insurance claims.
    • Supporting the management of courts cases.
    • Reporting the service standards of insurance provider.
    • Reviewing the accuracy of insurance documentation and the display of statutory documentation.
    • Maintaining insurance claim and policy documents records.
    • Liaison with staff members to understand insurance requirements.
    • Responding to external and internal customer queries regarding insurance cover requirements and claims.
    • Collation of relevant claims information, invoices and documentation for issuance to insurers and/or cost submissions.

  • An understanding of insurance and insurance markets
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with strong IT skills across Word, Excel
  • Good influencing and collaboration skills
  • Meticulous and diligent approach to tasks, activities and documentation
  • Enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude, showing initiative and drive
