Children's Registered Manager

Prospero Health & Social Care are working with a provider of children's services and have a permanent opportunity for a Registered Manager based in Pontefract.

About the Role:

If successful, you will be overseeing the day to day management of a new Residential children's home and a service that provides support to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

As this is a new home you will be given full autonomy of how you want to run the home. The organisation will support with staffing the home and you will have an involvement in the interview process of any new staff.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week and occasional on-call duties.

This role is open to experienced Registered Managers or Deputy Managers ready to take the next step. Alongside competitive benefits and progression opportunities, our client is paying a salary of £50,000 with a £3000 joining bonus.

Ideal for an experienced Deputy Manager looking to step-up or Registered Managers seeking a new challenge.

Salary and Benefits

£50,000 per annum with £3,000 joining bonus paid in 2 instalments.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home.

Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of the young residents.

Lead and support a dedicated team of care professionals.

Implement policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.

Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders as necessary.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a managerial role within a children's residential setting.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to young people.

Understanding of relevant regulations and legislation.

Desirable: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
