We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join a Children with Disabilities team in South Wales.
Social Workers in the Child Health and Disability Team provide services to children and young people who have a severe or significant learning disability, physical disability, sensory impairment, or profound communication impairment. They have strong multi-agency links, particularly with Health. You will play a role in responding to new referrals to the team and in ensuring we provide an effective initial response and will develop longer term relationships with families to help them achieve what matters to them. This post will specialise in supporting children who need continuing care.   
Work will be purposeful and risks will be managed confidently. The Team is well resourced to enable workers to operate in a timely way but also with time to reflect.
In The Child Health and Disability Team, workers are able to be kind, consistent and focused in their work with children, young people and their families / carers.  Managers are readily available and staff well being is a priority.

Requirements for the role:
You will need a degree in Social Work and post-qualifying experience within a Children's Services team. A background in Children in Need, Child Protection or Front-line Teams would be considered. It is essential that you have a working knowledge of Childcare legislation, guidance and national standards.
