Children Support Worker
Job Title: Support Worker Children (Residential and Education)
Contract: Flexible Agency Work
Salary: £26,000 with an additional sleep-in bonus
Prospero Health and Social Care are actively seeking experienced Children Support Workers to work in a residential service and school in Lymington that provides specialist support for children with Asperger's and other associated conditions.
The school and residential service is set on a large country house set in 8 acres of grounds which provide a beautiful and secure setting for outdoor activities.
The children are supported to socialise and meet lifelong friends in a safe and nurturing environment. The approach blends a mixture of education and care with therapeutic support to focus directly on life, work and independence skills. There are qualified occupational therapists, a clinical psychologist and a team of trained carers and teachers to support both the students and to support the team to maximise the potential of the young people they care for.
Person Specification
- A calm, patient and empathetic nature
- Experience in the care sector (desirable)
- The passion for working with young people and maximising their potential in life
- Driver with access to own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
- Sense of humour!
There is excellent training on site and the successful candidates will be encouraged to take on additional qualifications moving forwards.
Working Schedule
This is a full-time role (40-hours per week) with day shifts with 12 and 15 hour shifts, with night shifts and sleep-ins.
This is role that provides excellent opportunities for progression with the Level 3 being offered across care and education.
The hourly rate for this role is competitive at £12.50 per hour with a leading sleep-in rate.
