Job Scope:

We are currently seeking a Children Registered Manager to lead the registration and management of our client initial residential facility, designed for young individuals aged 8-17 with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH) and mild Learning Disabilities (MLD). The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership skills, demonstrated by prior successes within an Ofsted rated Good or Outstanding children’s home.

Key responsibilities of the Children Registered Manager include coordination with the registration process with Ofsted, requiring substantial involvement in recruitment, system development, and policy formulation. As a Children Registered Manager, you will oversee daily operations, providing leadership and supervision to staff, ensuring adherence to high-quality care plans and risk assessments for the welfare of our residents. The Children Registered Manager will be maintaining compliance with Ofsted and Local Authority standards is paramount.

Essential attributes for this role include adept leadership abilities, exceptional organizational capacity for seamless home operation, comprehensive knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding protocols, and the capability to mentor and empower team members. Do you have?

  • Significant experience managing Ofsted inspections and working in similar setting.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or commitment to achieving.
  • Have a passion and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people, coupled with resilience and strong communication skills, as well as a proactive approach with ideas for continual improvements in all areas.
  • Possess a Driving License
