Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Chef for a family run restaurant in North Devon.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Thai dishes, using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently under pressure will be essential in this role.


Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including stir-fries, curries, and noodle dishes, using a wok and other traditional cooking equipment
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to our restaurant's high standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menu items
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as needed
- Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu items


Requirements:

- Extensive experience as a Wok Chef in a busy restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of Thai cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Strong communication abilities
