Job Scope:

We are looking to recruit a Chef who will collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure the seamless provision of catering services. The role demands a commitment to upholding high standards, prioritizing customer satisfaction, and implementing effective Health and Safety measures. The Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient kitchen services, meeting resident dietary needs, and ensuring food presentation aligns with exceptional standards.

As a Chef, your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the delivery of catering services with a focus on resident choice and safety. You will actively engage with residents and collaborate with the Head Chef to address special dietary requirements, while ensuring the implementation of cost effective stock control systems. Upholding rigorous hygiene standards, overseeing kitchen equipment safety, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation are integral aspects of this role.

As a Chef, your involvement in home events and monthly food forums is crucial, demonstrating your commitment to HR policies, mandatory training, and personal professional growth. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining high Health and Safety standards, encompassing hazardous substance control, infection prevention, incident reporting, and adherence to safeguarding procedures. In essence, you play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding catering services while upholding stringent standards of safety, hygiene, and professional conduct at all times.

Do you have?

  • Qualifications in Food and Hygiene or Catering Services, holding a minimum Level 3 in Catering or equivalent QCF qualification.
  • Hold a valid full clean driving license.
  • Exhibit experience in team management, involving staff supervision, task allocation, feedback, appraisals, induction, and on-the-job training.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of delivering high-quality food within resident needs and budget constraints.
  • Understand and adhere to CQC requirements related to nutrition and hydration.
