Chef de Partie

This award-winning independent restaurant and wine shop has an immediate vacancy for a competent Chef de Partie to join the team.

Good Food Guide listed and in Brighton’s top 20 restaurants for the past 4 years the menu is shaped by the seasons and showcases informal modern Bistro style dining, innovative small plates, local suppliers, hunters & foragers. The Head Chef/owner has a very craft driven approach to food. Everything is prepared in-house from scratch, (nose to tail) including own butchery, house pickles and ferments, and cured meat & fish. The team is young, focused and work hard, standards throughout are high.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable CDP, up to date with modern cooking techniques, even-tempered and quality driven with the skill base to move about the kitchen as needed.


Required: Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality,
  • Relevant experience in a similar fresh food environment.
  • Professional Cookery level 2 or 3
  • Creative flair & attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Meticulous, organised and punctual

Our ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar busy fresh food environment, be resilient and self-aware with a "can do" attitude and above all keen to learn.

Salary: £30,000 (basic + service charge)

5-day week, a mix of straight and double shifts
