Part-time - 3 days per week

£30,000 per annum pro rata / £18,000 per annum for 3 days

Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

This role is working for an established UK Charity who are dedicated to finding a cure for spinal back injury. The main objective of this role will be to provide administrative support for the day to day running of the Charity.

This position will be both office based (2 days per week) and from home (1 day per week).

Responsibilities

  • Responding promptly to emails, calls, and enquiries to the charity.
  • Organising and supporting the management of events the charity runs, such as the Clay Pigeon Flush (June 2024) and the Golf Day event (July 2024). This includes promotion, liaison with teams, securing payment, co-ordination of Auction items, brochure design (Canva), liaison with venues, suppliers, and partners, managing the budget, etc.
  • Finance:

Working with the approved budget to look at cost savings and keep management information updated.

Checking supplier invoices against budget and organising payment through the bank.

Preparing invoices to those who are attending events and chasing for payment.

Providing spend evidence and bank account statements for all accounts to the external accounts team.

Monitoring fund-raising sites.

  • Supporting fund-raising activities with our partners.
  • Liaison with donors and patrons.
  • Preparing board papers for the Trustees on a quarterly basis.
  • Liaison with funded projects regarding updates and information for Trustees and social media.
  • Social media and newsletters to partners: compiling, designing, and distributing.
  • Awareness of profile of the charity: raising awareness and maintaining good relationships (including hospitals, wealth management/legal firms, etc)
  • Keeping up to date with charity matters.
  • Any other work in line with general administration and communications for the charity.

Training will be provided for all aspects of the role, but a general understanding of how charities operate will be helpful. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a varied and interesting role!
