- Hours: 42 hours per week over 5 days (includes weekend work)
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Chef Manager to oversee our catering operations. The ideal candidate will ensure correct procedures for storing, preparing, cooking, and serving food, including labelling, temperature checks, and allergy management.
This role requires maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and dining areas, carrying out regular checks and audits, and adhering to all regulatory issues in respect of health, hygiene, and safety.
Day to Day of the Role:- Oversee the correct procedures for storing, preparing, cooking, and serving food, ensuring compliance with labelling, temperature checks, and allergy management during shifts.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and dining areas.
- Conduct regular checks and audits in line with current requirements.
- Adhere to all regulatory issues in respect of health, hygiene, and safety, including HACCP.
- Follow catering risk assessments as required.
- Prepare for internal and external audits/inspections by managers, NSF, and Environmental Health.
- Ensure cleaning schedules are produced and followed by all catering staff.
- Ensure all food allergen policies and procedures are followed by all catering staff.
- Ensure accurate completion of all relevant food safety documentation, including The Kitchen Diary.
- Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar leadership role in catering.
- Strong knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety regulations, including HACCP.
- Experience preparing for and managing internal and external audits/inspections.
