Job Title: Category Manager

Salary: Up to £60,000

Location: Oxfordshire

.About the Role:

We're seeking a dynamic Category Manager to join our client's Procurement team. The incumbent will drive financial savings and implement a procurement strategy for designated categories.

About You:

  • Qualified Procurement professional with a minimum of 6 years' experience
  • Proficient in development, drafting, structuring, negotiating, and managing supplier contracts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive implementation and review of procurement strategy with key stakeholders to align with business direction
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of key supply markets
  • Cultivate supplier relationships to support our client's strategy, drive innovation, and ensure best practices
  • Maximize ROI on spend with third parties
  • Ensure timely and budgetary delivery of project targets through collaboration and project execution
  • Challenge stakeholder requirements and educate on supply base and market dynamics for maximum benefit
  • Promote and deliver effective contract and supplier management practices
  • Manage risks and ensure value for money through effective negotiations and contractual relationships
