An excellent opportunity for a Category Manager to join this world class Food manufacturer.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

• Competitive Salary - £50,000 + upto 10% bonus
• Fully office based role.
• Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm or 8.30am to 5.30pm

CATEGORY MANAGER

Key aspects of the Category Manager role include:

• Work across depots, departments, functions, teams, categories and a wide variety of customer channels (retail, foodservice and wholesale), own brand and branded.
• Deliver implementation of category management and reporting to support strategic direction of the business in partnership with key customers.
• Leading customer category range reviews in collaboration with commercial objectives to enhance market penetration and share as well as margin delivery.
• Fully understand our sub-categories in terms of market size, competitors, growth and trends.
• Pro-actively seek customer and consumer feedback on our products.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have a similar background as a Category manager ideally from within the food industry. Other key skills will include:

• Have an exceptional understanding of food trends, food ingredients and range planning.
• FMCG ready to eat and or ready to cook category experience in a retail environment.
• Identifying and bringing to market commercially profitable, consumer insight led opportunities
• Undertaking regular range reviews with retailers.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills, ability to achieve consensus, and influence senior stakeholders and key customers.
