Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for Indirects and IT category within the organisation
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to maximise value and minimise risk
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective procurement solutions
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Manage supplier relationships and performance
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals
- Report on category performance and provide insights for continuous improvement
Profile
A successful Category Manager - Indirects should have:
- Proven experience in IT or indirects procurement and category management
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A strategic mindset with excellent analytical abilities
- Good knowledge of procurement systems and processes
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
