On offer is a role as a Category Buyer; you'll be responsible for ensuring your supply chain performs against KPIs, leveraging tangible benefit. Being a Buyer within the team means thriving within a fast-paced environment where confident problem-solving and quick decision-making counts. We want the Buyer to hold strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders and drive performance across all business areas and offer solutions to problems.

As a Category Buyer you will be responsible for ensuring your supply chain performs against KPIs, managing escalations within the Purchasing team and guiding the buyers to achieve the best possible value for the business.

The role:

• Manage and resolve key supplier escalations, ensuring on-time delivery
• Drive team performance against KPIs and operational metrics
• Managing multiple projects and coordinating cross functional teams to ensure on-time delivery
• Understanding of key cost drivers within a supply base
• Confident negotiator with a proven record of creating cost ideas and delivering significant reductions
• Working with a global supply base - ability to travel globally is a requirement for this role
• Managing high level supplier relationships & delivering tangible benefits within global organisations
• Ability to build strong internal relationships working closely with technical engineers

The person:

• Significant procurement experience - preferably within a manufacturing business
