Casework Coordinator: Domestic Abuse
 
     LOCATION:              South Somerset/Sedgemoor 
HOURS:                    37.5 – Mon – Fri
SALARY:                   £13.62 PAYE - £16.12 Umbrella  
DURATION:  6 weeks +
START DATE:           ASAP
Are you ready to make a real difference in people's lives? An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and dedicated Casework Coordinator to join our team and support individuals affected by domestic abuse.
  • Provide vital support and guidance to individuals experiencing domestic abuse, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that comprehensive, holistic support is provided to service users.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative strategies and interventions to support the diverse needs of individuals impacted by domestic abuse.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience working in a casework or support role, ideally within a domestic abuse setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding principles and risk assessment processes.
  • Support new tenants with sign ups.
  • Minimise void times for vacant rooms, ensuring they’re ready to be re-let.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Knowledge of local and national resources available to support individuals affected by domestic abuse.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualification in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field.
  • Training or certification in domestic abuse awareness and advocacy.
  • Valid driving license and access to own transport.
