OVERVIEW: CARPENTRY TUTOR
We are currently seeking a Carpentry professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications, for a well-established training provider.
Based from a training centre in the Oxford area, The Carpentry Tutor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking L2 & 3 qualifications. You will be a time served Carpenter with site experience and hold a level 3 or above in Carpentry.
Ideally you will have experience delivering training and will possess either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold sound experience in the engineering sector, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
THE ROLE OF CARPENTRY TUTOR
To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.
We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: CARPENTRY TUTOR
- Minimum 4 years' relevant occupational experience within the Carpentry sector
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience of working with young people
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: CARPENTRY TUTOR
- Level 3 (or above) occupational qualification
- Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
- Teaching qualification (desirable)
- This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance
SALARY/BENEFITS: CARPENTRY TUTOR
- £37-40K starting salary (depending on experience & qualifications)
