Location: Lincolnshire Area

Salary: Up to £31,710 - £37,914 per annum + £5,000 Market Weighting (dependant on experience and qualifications)

Duration: Permanent

Full time (37hrs per week, all year round)

Reed - Further Education are seeking a Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery for Level 1-3 post 16 students.

Responsibilities of a Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a joinery professional to share your knowledge and expertise influencing the next generation of skilled carpenters.

  • Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and assessment up to Level 3 which includes study programmes, adult programmes and apprenticeships within carpentry and joinery, in both a workshop and classroom environment.
  • The role of lecturer is to equip our students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential.
  • The key roles of a Lecturer are to deliver excellent teaching, completing the relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and to set SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in teaching subject area.
  • Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification i.e. AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education
  • Assessors’ qualification i.e. A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA
