Capital Accountant
Head of Finance | Public Sector | Hybrid Working
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with an ambitious Local Authority who are looking to identify a Capital Accountant to join the Council, as part of proactive plans to strengthen their Finance Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to add value, in a role that offers predominantly remote working (occasional trips to the office).
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the key responsibilities include;
- Leading on the creation, coordination, and development of annual capital budget, including the implementation of a sound and robust financing plan
- Providing key support and expert advice to Chief Officers in respect of capital projects and related technical issues
- Overseeing business case approvals for key capital projects
- Supporting business plans
- Preparing and presenting capital and treasury reports to senior management
The person;
- Qualified Accountant (or significant experience within the Sector)
- Strong technical skillset with a thorough understanding of capital accounting
- Ability to present reports to Senior Management
