JOB – CAM Programmer / Engineer

LOCATION – Hampshire

TERM - Permanent

SALARY – £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a CNC CAM programmer / Engineer on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area with experience in machining / mechanical manufacturing. Your main duties will be programming 3,4 and 5 axis machining programmes as well as coming up with routings and assisting with continuous improvement projects.

The CAM Programmer / Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Previous experience in a CAM or CNC programming position.
  • Capable of using SolidCAM, EdgeCAM, MasterCAM or similar softwares..
  • Capable of carrying out 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC programming.
  • Be able to determine manufacturing methods of new product introductions and manufacturing time taken.
  • Be responsible for the introduction of new machine tools.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience working within an ISO9001 working environment (not essential)
  • Ability to work independently as well as team.
  • Experience with SolidCAM or similar - advatageous
The main duties of CAM Programmer / Engineer role will involve:

  • Running CAM programmes using SolidCAM and similar CAM softwares.
  • Advise on any production issues and faults during day to day production.
  • Assist other members within the CNC / Machining department to ensure components are manufactured correctly
  • Assist with new tooling introduction.
