Calibration Engineer

  • Location: Coventry
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Annual Salary: £30,000 - £43,000

We are on the lookout for a skilled Calibration Engineer to join a forward-thinking team focused on the development of future mobility solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in hybridized ICE calibration, fuel cell development, and automotive development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and optimise powertrain systems in collaboration with customers.
  • Conduct simulation/modelling activities and execute test work on various testbeds.
  • Analyse data and provide clear reports and recommendations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide stakeholder feedback.
  • Engage in knowledge exchange and internal training sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related engineering field (minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s or Master’s).
  • Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
  • Understanding of gasoline and diesel engine performance and Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems.
  • Experience with calibration tools (ETAS Inca, ATI Vision) is preferable.
  • Knowledge of powertrain simulation techniques (Matlab, Simulink, AVL CRUISE™ M).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (AVL Concerto, CANape, AVL CAMEO, DIAdem).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to work and travel across multiple projects and locations.
