Calibration Engineer
Our client, a leading global technology company specializing in electronic measurement solutions are seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer on a permanent basis. Based primarily on-site at their Telford service centre, with occasional on-site work at customer locations, you will be responsible for the calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to ensure functionality and accuracy.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic, mechanical or analytical test instruments.
- Conduct routine tasks following prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require judgment.
- Solve technical problems of varying scope and complexity related to test and calibration processes.
- Understand customer requirements through effective communication, both face-to-face and written.
- Travel to customer sites for on-site calibrations (less than 25% of the time).
Requirements:
- Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician with relevant calibration experience.
- IT skills, including proficiency in Windows and Office applications.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to confidently address customer inquiries and anticipate problems.
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and working independently.
- Capability to obtain UK security clearance.
