Cafe, Shop and Experience Assistant
Summary
Working for a globally recognised toy brand you will be responsible for presenting a positive and professional customer service experience for customers and visitors.
The role will require weekend and occasional evening work to cover events.
General duties to include:
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintaining all layouts before opening and during the day.
- 1 day a week Model making and repairing.
- Developing a good knowledge of products, stock, and ensure that customers are informed about the product they have purchased
- Respond to general customer enquiries received via phone, email and face to face
- Assist with birthday parties/ school groups/ group bookings where required
- Participate in the day-to-day running of the shop
- Respond to orders received via phone and emails by processing sales and packaging orders
- Keeping the shop displays clean and tidy at all times
- Operating the till and accurately handling cash, cheques and credit/debit cards and own product transactions.
- Receive deliveries, unpack and re-shelve or store stock
- Assisting with regular stock checks and annual stock takes
- Assisting in the café as required
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in retail or a visitor attraction is an advantage
- Model making to a high standard is an advantage
- Eagerness to learn
- Self-starter
- Positive can do attitude
- Hands on
- Good team-working and communications skills
