Job Title: Court Advisor - CAFCASS

Location: South Wales and Gwent

Salary: £41-£43ph

Randstad are working alongside CAFCASS (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service) to recruit a Family Court Advisor to join a growing team. We are looking for a QSW to join in the mission to ensure that the voices and best interests of children are heard and upheld during family proceedings, providing support and advice to the courts.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team as a Court Advisor on behalf of CAFCASS. As a Court Advisor, you will play a crucial role in advocating for the welfare and rights of children involved in family court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families involved in court cases.
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations to the court regarding the best interests of the child.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders including social services, legal representatives, and other professionals involved in the case.
  • Representing the views and wishes of children in court proceedings, ensuring their voices are heard and considered.
  • Collaborating with CAFCASS colleagues to ensure effective case management and support for children and families.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Care Wales
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work capacity, preferably within a court setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, family law, and relevant policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
  • At least 3 years post qualifying experience
