Location: Nottingham
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Metalis are currently supporting a Global Aerospace Parts manufacturer in the search for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to support their expansion plans.
The role is 39Hours a week. Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 & 08:00 - 15:30 on a Friday. There is some flexibility in these hours to support production and candidates external commitments.
The Role:
- Create CNC offline Programmes for use on Multi-Axis Machine Centres
- Use of MasterCAM and Solidworks for innovative designs.
- Primarily office based but leading shopfloor work shops on NPI.
- Leading internal CAPEX projects from cradle to grave.
- Attending training sessions and training of team members.
- Analyse factory critical data to spot opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
- Generation of new tooling techniques & production methods.
- Working across multiple departments to ensure company goals are achieved.
- Use of manufacturing techniques such as Root Cause, LEAN Manufacturing, FMEA etc to constantly aim for improvements.
Shifts & Salary:
- £35,000 - 45,000 D.O.E
- Permanent Opportunity.
- Monday - Friday. 39Hour week early/late finishes to suit.
Ideal Experience:
- Experience working with CNC Machines using fanuc and mazak controls.
- A good understanding of CADCAM or Parametric including MasterCAM.
- Experience working in an Aerospace business.
- Highly experienced in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
- Use of Process Mapping, PFMEA and DFM tools.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
