Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch ) are recruiting for a CAD/Project engineer for our client who refurbishes office spaces based from their operations in Ferndown.
Purpose:
To provide accurate CAD designs and produce quotations for office and property refurbishment that comply with client specification, company standards, guidelines and all legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing client and team requests for construction, compiling of scope, risks involved and tender considerations.
Creating CAD designs for clients.
Preparation of costings, including cost of materials, transport, labour and equipment hire.
Reading blueprints and taking measurements.
Making visits to sites when required.
Interaction with site teams, clients and senior management.
Placing purchase orders.
Managing project time scales to completion.
Oversee CAD team.
Skills Required:
The ability to fit in well, work as a team member, have initiative and enthusiasm.
Extensive experience using CAD (ideally 10 years minimum).
Good communication skills, liaising with clients and good working attitude with site management.
You will be well organised and capable of meeting deadlines.
Good maths and IT skills are essential, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and Outlook is required. .
Making use of relevant computer software such as Excel, Word and Autodesk.
A good knowledge and understanding of the latest Health & Safety legislation and Building Regulations.
A good understanding of construction is required · Experience within the office refurbishment industry would be desirable but not essential.
Full UK driving license.
