Are you a skilled design engineer looking for a change?

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creating precise CAD data and driving engineering projects to fruition. You will be responsible for developing 3D models, drawings, and technical product lifecycle information for both new and established products.

Ideal candidate would have experience in effectively utilising Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Microsoft Office software applications.

Day to Day of the role:

• Create and manage CAD data, including 3D models and manufacturing drawings, ensuring they meet customer specifications and design standards.
• Take ownership of design processes from initial draft to final consensus, ensuring a right first-time quality.
• Compile and present technical information to support design decisions and facilitate team alignment on design content.
• Review and authorise technical data to ensure readiness for the manufacturing phase.
• Lead initiatives and contribute to projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least one year of hands-on experience in a dynamic CAD role.
• Proficiency in CAD, PLM, and Microsoft Office software applications.
• HNC Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience, with manufacturing experience being advantageous.
• Understanding of design principles, risk analysis, engineering calculations, and technical drawing.
• Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve design consensus.
• Commitment to personal development and mastery of team tools and methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information in written and verbal forms.
