Buying Director Fashion

An excellent opportunity with an international multi-channel retailer. The focus will be on young fashion apparel . The senior executive appointed will oversee the product buying and development for specific in house brands. and will be responsible for providing strategic direction to achieve the financial objectives.

Responsibilities will include :

Providing strategic direction to achieve financial objectives .
Understanding current and target customers within different geographical regions and developing seasonal and annual multi product strategies that are relevant
Continuous global supplier development/evaluation to maintain quality standards along with competitiveness.
Identifying new trends and enacting to ensure the development of well balanced collections
Using consumer data to guide on product and pricing along with competitiveness.
Oversee the coaching and development of product buying teams along with succession planning.
Working closely with the senior executives across departments, including finance, supply chain and retail /digital operations .

The Person

It is expected that you will have gained at least 10 years experience working for a large format European or International fashion retailer and that you have operated at a senior executive level. Cross category experience that includes women's and/or menswear will be ideal.
You will be accustomed to taking financial responsibility and achieving business objectives. Working cross functionally within a multi channel environment . Leading and developing large teams .

This position is based within Istanbul, Turkey and the successful candidate will be expected to relocate. There will be regular business travel .

A command of the Turkish language is not essential but a good level of English is desirable and naturally you will have translater support .
