Our client, a manufacturer based near Chard, Somerset is looking to appoint a buyer to join their team! This is a fantasic opportunity to join a company that is proud of their state of the art facitilities and committed to their industry.

The main responsibilities of the job include:
Sourcing, negotiating, and buying goods, materials, and services
Monitoring market trends and competitor strategies, and researching areas for cost savings.
The job also involves developing strategies to improve operational efficiency, negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers, evaluating supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
job also requires effective relationship management with stakeholders and suppliers, attending meetings and communicating any issues or concerns, and building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers. It is important to stay up-to-date with any changes that may affect the supply and demand of products and materials, and advise others accordingly.

This position demands strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities. It also requires being results-oriented, commercially and financially aware, and having a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Finally, it is important to comply with health, safety, and environmental policies, embrace personal challenge, and work well under pressure while being resilient, self-motivated, and proactive.
