Page Personnel have partnered with a Higher Education organisation based in the North East for the recruitment of a Buyer. This is a full time and permanent role, and is paying up to £24,811.

My client are a Higher Education organisation.

Description

As a Buyer you will sit within the wider procurement team and you will take an active lead in the procurement process and data analysis. You will work effectively with finance systems, and create and maintain good working relationships with wider teams including Legal and IT.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good understanding and interest in procurement processes
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with complex approval processes
  • Experience of delivering operational purchasing support including taking ownership of obtaining approval from all relevant approval groups (IT, Legal, HR, Marketing and Finance) as appropriate
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers on a transactional level, requesting quotations and negotiating pricing on these
  • Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Minimum 5 GCSE's or equivalent with a minimum of grade C in Maths and English
  • CIPS level 2 and actively working towards level 3 or equivalent

Full time and permanent role + 35 days annual leave ( with the option to buy + bank holidays + christmas closure) + Flexible working around core hours of 10-4 +18% pension + Support with qualifications + other excellent benefits
