Our client are now looking for a Buyer to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast paced environment, purchasing for production.

What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for securing the best prices for our stock, actively seeking new products, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Your role is pivotal in maintaining our competitive edge through astute negotiation and proactive sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement for a fast paced, high volume production facility
  • Strategic sourcing - Identify and secure the most competitive prices for our stock through thorough market research and negotiation with suppliers.
  • Supplier management - Continually seek and evaluate potential suppliers to establish relationships with those offering the best products at optimal prices.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Employ strong negotiation skills to ensure favourable terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all purchased products meet compliance requirements, adhering to regulatory standards and internal agreements. Proactively advise on developments and recommendations with regards to compliance for new and existing product lines with updates as necessary.
  • This role has the support of a buyer administrator and you will be required to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their role and needs of the buying function


This role is for you if you have experience of:
  • At least 2+ years of experience within a procurement position, ideally within a high volumed manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with suppliers in the Far East
  • Extremely desirable if you can speak Mandarin!
  • You are proactive and a self-driven person
