Actio Electronics Recruitment are assisting one of our clients based in Lewes with their search for a Buyer to join their successful team.

The Company

Our client are a family owned, global leading manufacturer of electronic products who pride themselves on their high level of quality, reliability and service who have manufacturing sites in Lewes as well as in the US.

The company are looking for a Buyer to join the business due to sustained success and growth.

Purpose of the Role

In this fast paced position you will be purchasing technical products including electronic components and metals. Working with the companies ERP system you will place orders across multiple suppliers and manage purchase orders and delivery dates.

You will evaluate and benchmark current and prospective suppliers with regard to cost, reliability of supply and quality.

You will:

• Place and expedite orders to meet demand
• Maintain purchase order information
• Resolving invoice queries
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and build relationships
• Complete supplier visits and audits
• Negotiate prices and terms
• Verify BOM’s
• Review production / stock shortages and overdue orders
• KPI reporting

About You

You will ideally have experience of working with drawings, excel, pivot tables and ERP systems. Experience within a buying role in a technical environment such as electronics would be an advantage along with a flexible and analytical approach and excellent communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent role paying £30,000 to £35,000 per annum.
