Buyer-Thetford-£30,000+ (DOE)

We are currently seeking a Buyer on behalf of our amazing client based in Thetford! This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in a Purchasing role to join a established team in a fast moving role!

Salary: £30k+ (DOE)

Hours: 08:30am-17:00pm (Early finish on Fridays)

Duties:

  • To work alongside the Purchasing team to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Manage and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and ensure optimal pricing, availability, and quality of products.
  • Place and track orders with suppliers.
  • Monitor order prices and seek opportunities to improve costs.
  • Generate reports to provide insights into category performance.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in buying, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated, determined and driven to develop the role.
  • Work well under pressure with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Good negotiation skills.
