Are you an experienced Buyer? Have you worked in a purchasing role within an engineering or manufacturing environment? If so, our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is recruiting for a Buyer for their site in Coventry.

Job Description
  • Supporting the Head of Department, deputising for colleagues when required, and supporting junior team members assisting with their training and development.
  • Overseeing and controlling supplier relationships. Negotiating prices, and terms and conditions of parts, tooling, and equipment.
  • Managing purchasing elements and control costs/lead times.
  • Ensuring business plan objectives are met.
  • Maintaining databases with accurate records and documentation and compiling reports for management.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Previous experience of purchasing in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Relevant qualification in a technical discipline or relevant professional qualification (CIPS).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
