Our long-standing client is a global leader in their industry! They are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join their busy and growing team!

Buyer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Place and process purchase orders
• Work closely with other departments to ensure all deliveries are on time
• Keep all transactional systems up to date
• Carry out weekly stock checks for consumable parts and place orders
• Facilitate purchase orders
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, actioning acknowledgements, discrepancies, and assist with supplier review meeting
• Support the Strategic Purchasing Team in generating purchase price variance (PPV) reports in line with business requirements
• Monitor market pricing and identify areas of opportunity and cost savings
• Ensure compliance with our standards and approvals and any customer specific requirements are flowed down through the supply chain including exports/imports and ITAR requirements
• Work in line with control framework and to carry out annual reviews
• Prepare all documents required for audits both internal and external
• Maintain the Vendor Base in line with group targets

The ideal Buyer will:

• Comfortable with Microsoft Office, advanced skills in Excel
• Have experience in buying and expediting within a manufacturing environment
• Previous Aerospace/ Defense Sector knowledge (advantageous)
• CIPS Qualification (or working towards) is beneficial
