Buyer

Change Recruitment are currently working with an established business based in Chippenham who are looking to add a Buyer to their team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement this is role requires a commercially focussed candidate who will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating great deals with suppliers. You will be given autonomy to source new suppliers to get the best possible price in order to drive profitability. As such you will need to be commercially astute and have strong negotiation and relationship skills.

Key Duties:

• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best possible prices & delivery timeframes are achieved
• Ensure orders to suppliers are sent in good time to enable shipments on time and in full
• Work with sales to forecast purchasing requirements
• Point of contact on behalf of the purchase team for certain product ranges
• Placing purchase orders to ensure stock is kept at optimum levels

• Strong communication skills
• Data driven mindset with strong Excel and data analysis skills

This role will suit someone who is CIPS qualified or a studier with ambition to progress.
