Description
- Develop and implement effective buying strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Analyse sales patterns and forecasts.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to enhance retail strategies.
- Ensure consistent stock availability.
- Regularly review product performance and optimise the product range accordingly.
- Manage a team and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure competitive positioning.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
- Prior experience in Buying power tools/ machines for a retailer/ trader.
- A strong understanding of the retail sector, specific to industrial machines and/ power tools.
- Proven experience in buying, ideally within the power tools and industrial sector.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities for forecasting and performance monitoring.
- Leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to maintain supplier relationships.
