As our sweets buyer, you will have the chance to use your expertise in food FMCG to help us curate the perfect collection of delicious treats for our customers. Your role will involve sourcing and selecting the very best products from around the world, negotiating with suppliers, and keeping up-to-date with the latest trends in the confectionery industry.

The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for all things FMCG, as well as a proven track record as a retail food buyer. You will be a natural negotiator, able to build strong relationships with suppliers and work closely with our marketing team to ensure that our products are presented in the most enticing way possible.

Profile

A successful Buyer - Confectionery should have:

• A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a buying role within the retail sector.
• Very commercially astute with knowledge of trends, pricing, margins, etc. in commercial retail.
• Ability to communicate with all teams and deliver to timelines in a fast-paced role.
• Experience with onboarding and negotiating with suppliers.
• A keen interest and proven achievements in FMCG.
• Experience involving pricing and promotion activation strategies.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in using retail software and advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
