Matching Staff Solutions are working alongside our established client to find a Yardperson for their Maintenance department . This role is on a contract starting ASAP for a minimum of four months. You must be willing to be flexible with your duties as there are various roles to cover to include back-office work (ordering), some stock work and yard work.

Monday to Friday 08:00am - 14:00pm

The Role

Your main duties will include:

  • Provide support for the back office team admin team in allocating work to operatives and purchasing stock using the IT system.
  • Undertake works as detailed on task sheets and specifications as required.
  • To conduct regular inspections of tools, plant and equipment and vehicles that any operative may be required to drive.
  • Collecting materials and goods from suppliers, assisting with unloading goods in the yard and general stores management.
  • To undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the management team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Full UK driving license with the ability and experience to tow trailers, and drive 7.5tonne.
  • Knowledge of working within the building/property industry.
  • Experience of working within H&S guidelines.
  • Experience with the use of power and hand tools.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to keep accurate records using client data bases, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
