Our local authority client is looking for an experienced Business Support & Facilities Manager to join their busy team. Full details below:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To work as part of the Business & Transformation Service Management Team contributing to the overall management and development of the service; and to deputise for the Service Manager - Business & Transformation as required.
  • In conjunction with the Service Manager for Business & Transformation and Team/Service colleagues, formulate and deploy plans to meet the business change and continuous improvement strategies for the Service.
  • Provide managerial leadership for a portfolio of service teams/functions to assure operational delivery, forward planning and the achievement of quality standards and performance levels.T
  • To be responsible for the Social Care Accommodation Strategy, financial planning (capital & revenue) and the facilities management of all premises, (owned, leased and shared), ensuring compliance with building related legislation observing best practice in Health & Safety and risk management
  • Provide project management expertise to ensure the delivery of service and infrastructure developments, ensuring forward planning and business continuity.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Business related degree or the equivalent proven experience in a managerial role and evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Knowledge of the business of Social Care Services, in particular its legislative framework.
  • Knowledge and understanding of performance management frameworks and management information systems.
