The Opportunity:
Nigel Wright Recruitment is delighted to be leading the search for Husqvarna’s Business Manager (Ireland) for its Construction Division.  The role is a remote / home based role, requiring someone to be based in Northern Ireland.  The remit will cover the entirety of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and the opportunity has become available as a succession planning hire for the pending retirement of the incumbent.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity, for an exceptional new hire to operate autonomously and manage the distribution route to market for Husqvarna’s range of market leading construction products, including its exceptional diamond tools range.

Role Profile:
  • A core focus on generating profitable sales through the distribution channel (two distributors in Northern Ireland and one distributor in the Republic of Ireland).
  • Key account maintenance of a strong existing customer base, whilst incrementally developing new customers and growing market share.
  • Regular face to face engagement with distribution and hire customers.
  • Cross selling and upselling the full equipment range to existing and prospective customers to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Demonstrating the tool range to customers where appropriate.
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends and competitor activities.
  • Creating strategies for market share growth.
  • Managing distributor relationships and providing support and guidance to maximise sales of the Husqvarna product range.
  • Providing aftersales support to customers and distributors to maintain long-term effective relationships.
  • CRM and pipeline management and accurate upline forecasting and performance reporting, in a timely and proactive manner.

Person Specification:
  • Experience of products or tools sold into the construction sector would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of selling through a distribution channel would also be beneficial.
  • A natural interest in the construction tools sector and industry trends and developments.
  • Northern Ireland based with experience of selling across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Flexibility for regular customer travel.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use CRM systems effectively.
