Chadd’s Foodsmiths, based in Bude, is a Cornish foodservice distributor who operate throughout Cornwall and Devon predominantly to the Catering and Hospitality trade.

Vacancy Description:

We are seeking a motivated Business Finance Analyst  to join our team in Bude. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis while supporting various aspects of our business, including financial, product, and sales data

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial data accurately
  • Reconcile suppliers ensuring all relevant invoices and statements are obtained.
  • Assist with monthly reporting routines including balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting and preparing management accounts.
  • Collect and organize data from various sources including internal databases, spreadsheets, and external sources.
  • Utilize statistical methods and tools to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Create clear and insightful data visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.

  • Being organised and managing your own work load
  • Being flexible and willing to assist other departments with ad-hoc tasks
  • Experience of using Excel
  • Strong Maths and Analytical  skills..
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must have a level 3 qualification (Apprenticeship, A levels, BTEC or equivalent) or work experience in a similar role
  • 5x GCSE’s including Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above

Entry Requirements:

Standard Entry:

  • Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)

Plus:

  • 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above 
  • Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
