QED Legal are proud to be representing a Top UK 100 Law firm based in the City Centre who are looking for a business development manager to join their team.

The business development team play a pivotal role in the expansion and ongoing success of the business. The successful candidate will have strong commercial and market awareness and have a structured approach to increase sales for the business.

Responsibilities include:
  • Guide and coach fee earners to enhance and secure revenue from existing clients through effective relationship management.
  • Assist in implementing development plans, sales targets, and growth projections aligned with business needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new clients.
  • Progress opportunities professionally and efficiently.
  • Support fee earners in securing new business by arranging meetings with decision-makers across various companies.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, promotions, and legal services.
  • Coordinate prospecting efforts to create opportunities for discussions with targets, leading to new clients and revenue.
  • Assist the Business Development Director in developing departmental business plans and growth objectives, including the annual client relationship plan.
  • Maintain and contribute to the annual client relationship plan, prioritizing it in client interactions.
  • Support the Business Development Director and department heads in reviewing and progressing annual business plans, promoting accountability for business development.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing/Tender team on preparing tenders, pitch documents, and client-facing materials.
  • Report monthly on business development trends and identify key concerns for the Business Development Director.

Requirements:

•             Familiarity with marketing and business development procedures in professional services.
•             Knowledgeable about new business and marketing methodologies, CRM systems, and emerging technologies.
•             Diverse business background encompassing external relations, marketing, and communications.
•             Extensive personal network within the region
•             Possesses personal presence and exceptional communication abilities.
•             Proven track record of representing organisations and engaging with media/public speaking.
•             Capable of collaborating across departments and excels in writing and project management.
•             Proficient in probing, consultative listening/selling, negotiation, and persuasion.
•             Demonstrates a deep understanding and interpretation of brand strategies.
•             Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking proficiencies.
•             Effective at influencing individuals at various organisational levels and receptive to constructive feedback.
•             Advanced proficiency in IT tools including MS Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook), CRM software, and design applications beneficial.
•             Comfortable working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and enhancing operational processes
