Business Development Manager
Our client who specialises in the distribution of medical equipment based in Basildon has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a sales or account manager position working within commercial medical sales & distribution. Good communication skills, competent in Excel & PowerPoint and organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and accountability to maximise order intake and sales revenue.
- Promote exceptional customer service for your assigned customer sales accounts.
- Adopt a 'hands on' structured and proactive sales approach, ensuring orders are accepted and processed through the business effectively.
- Be pro-active in developing excellent customer relationships and service levels. Be transparent and authentic in reporting processes to line manager and others.
- Prepare pricing and proposal information to support quotations with the appropriate customer base.
- Meet and exceed order intake and sales budgets for your respective customer accounts. Be team focused, working with sales team colleagues to ensure that overall goals and objectives are achieved in line with KPI's assigned.
- Own all aspects of sales and customer relationships within the designated customer accounts.
- Support the development of business processes to improve efficiency and assist in the profitability and future growth of the business.
- Engage with other team members to participate in industry specific training to ensure all have a thorough knowledge of the technical requirements of the medical industry.
The salary for this position is between £30,000-£35,000 per annum depending on experience.
