Talent-UK are delighted to be working exclusively with our client based In West Yorkshire. Our client is a well-established organisation who specialise in IT & Telecomms.

Due to expansion our client is now looking to recruit a full-time field-based Business Development Manager.

This role is full time and permanent. During the training period the successful individual will be required to be office based for typically 3 months. After successful completion of our clients training, a minimum of two days per week will office based.

Build and maintain relationships with customers by meeting regularly to profile their needs and requirements, understand their business and deliver value-added solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Hunting new business by prospecting, networking, and cold calling. On-boarding new customers to our client.
  • Working towards a personal target as well as contributing to the overall department target
  • Understanding the product portfolio and how the solutions work.
  • Resolve customer queries and disputes in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Maintain and expand customer database by ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer information on the company CRM system.
  • Up-sell products to customers using telephone, email and face to face meetings.
  • Manage contract renewals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and team members to develop and execute sales strategies that are in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure Projects are passed in a complete and timely manner.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to gain insight into the market and expand the company’s reach
  • Prepare and present proposals, presentations and quotations to potential customers.
  • Learning all new product releases where possible & analysing competitor solutions

Candidate requirements-Essential:

  • Proven experience within IT & Telecomms with a particular focus on driving new business.
  • A drive to seek new business.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of IT, including networking, servers, cloud services and security
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and deliver results consistently.
  • Initiative and good decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices and techniques
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Results-driven with the ability to focus on achieving set objectives and goals.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Team player
  • Full UK driving license
  • Able to meet and display our clients company values:
