WE Talent are working in partnership with an innovative, progressive business who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to lead on advertising sales for their Financial Services publication and exhibitor/delegate attendance at their events.

This is an ideal role for an ambitious candidate who is self-motivated and driven to progress their career. You are joining at a time where visibility and promotion of this title is high so it's a warm platform to capitalise on increasing demand.

Thriving under a busy workload, you will be working autonomously to source, generate, regenerate and nurture relationships with clients to generate sales. You will be speaking with decision makers across businesses that want to reach Marketers and Communications professionals across the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Media Sales Strategy: Work with management to develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, ensuring maximum market penetration and growth
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored advertising solutions that drive results
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies
  • Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Create compelling sales presentations and effectively negotiate advertising agreements, ensuring win-win outcomes
  • Sales Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse sales metrics, generate regular reports, and take proactive measures to address any deviations from targets

Requirements

  • Developing relationship via phone, email, social platforms and face to face. You will be creative in your approach to win business
  • A confident communicator, this opportunity involves travel to meet clients and attend networking, conferences and exhibitions worldwide
  • Proven and demonstrable sales success
  • Previous experience in Media Sales (advertising/conferences/exhibitions) is essential
  • Self motivated and able to take ownership
  • Strong literacy skills with the ability to draft and amend sales communications
