Business Development Manager
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - West London
Premium Office Furniture - Existing dealer network
£75/£80k package (basic, bonus, car allowance, medical cover, pension, 33 days
holiday)
To maintain and develop business sales in line with agreed targets within the
designated region by managing the relationship with existing accounts and
identifying and developing new accounts.
Key Areas of Responsibility
To proactively manage allocated clients including regular contact via telephone, email
and site visits;
To develop new business opportunities;
To undertake regular reviews and develop additional business opportunities with
existing clients to both identify any additional sales opportunities e.g. additional
products or services and monitor contract performance;
To respond to requests for information, literature, and tenders in a timely and efficient
manner;
To provide clear and accurate quotations, briefs and proposals to clients;
To ensure existing and potential clients are provided with appropriate information and
literature on product developments within our portfolio in a timely fashion;
To undertake presentations in relation to and demonstrations of new and existing
products as and when necessary
To arrange the delivery and return of demonstration stock items, as and when
necessary;
To negotiate terms of business, including variations in price, delivery and specifications
in line with company procedures and guidelines;
To actively promote the additional services offered by the business, including but not
limited to: -
- Installation Service
- Service Centre
- Active Ergonomics
- Recycling Service
To support the Customer Services Teams and / or the Continuous Improvement
Department in resolving any customer complaints, including providing reports,
photographs and / or attending site visits as applicable;
To build and maintain your own specific product knowledge in order to add value to our
clients;
To refer potential opportunities to, or work with, other members of the Sales Team on
projects, if applicable (e.g. Tabling etc)
To gather market and customer information and provide feedback to the Sales
Management Team and to participate in the collection of client feedback as and when
required;
To monitor developments (e.g. competitors’ products etc.) within the general
marketplace and incumbent / targeted accounts and provide feedback to the
Management Team and other members of Sales Team (as applicable);
To represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and networking events as and
when required;
To undertake New Account (Dealer or Customer) inductions to ensure the efficient an
effective integration of the new client into the Business.
To manage all client related reporting documentation and database management and
submit monthly reports and other additional reports as may be required from time to time
